IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Keep Your Profile Information Current To Ensure Top Quality Service

UNIGLOBE Geo Travel provides exceptional customer service by using a detailed profile system to hold relevant customer information. One extremely important piece of information we hold is your contact information.

Should there be a last minute schedule change or cancellation of your flight, your telephone number and email address is provided to the airline so they can contact you with the revision details.

Should there be an after hours question from your travel consultant relating to a booking they are making for you, they will be able to reach you.

For these reasons alone, it is extremely important that you update us with your new contact information if there are any changes. Please ask your UNIGLOBE Geo Travel consultant to review the current contact information we have on file for you and they will update it if necessary.

TRAVEL REPORT - HAITI

Official Warning:

Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada advises against non-essential travel to Haiti.

On January 12, 2010, a strong earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale struck close to Port-au-Prince. Reports indicate that the earthquake caused extensive damage to infrastructure. Power and telecommunications are severely disrupted. Health services remain limited, as a hospital in Port-au-Prince has collapsed. The Airport in Port-au-Prince is also currently closed to all commercial flights, and roads leading to the Dominican Republic are currently impassable.

DELTA & NORTHWEST AIRLINES

World's Largest Airline Merger

After a year of seeking approvals, the US government has just officially approved Delta and Northwest operating as a single carrier, the process will be completed in the first quarter of this year.

Delta and Northwest predictably see smooth skies ahead and suggest the merger’s impact on passengers will be minimal. Various comments made regarding the merger:

Buying a ticket will involve only one carrier by mid-year. Check-in and gate locations for most airports served worldwide are being combined under the Delta brand.

Existing itineraries and reservations should not be impacted by the merger, at most airports customers should check in at a Delta kiosk or with a Delta-uniformed agent. Check-in and gate locations for most airports Delta and Northwest serve worldwide have been combined under the Delta brand.

The SkyMiles and WorldPerks programs are now being consolidated into one best-in-class loyalty program. WorldPerks accounts have become SkyMiles accounts, according to Delta.

BRITISH AIRWAYS

Choosing Your Seat

BA now charges for pre assign seats, $90.00 each way for Business and $30.00 for Economy, unless they check in 24hrs prior and then it is free.
