7 DAYS :: RED SEA DIVING

The Red Sea offers some of the world's best scuba diving. The high saline content results in superb visibility (up to 50 metres), there’s an abundance of fish life (over 1000 species) and there are countless varieties of hard and soft coral (over 200 species). Added to that, you can enjoy warm water temperatures (20-26°C) for most of the year.

From the narrow continuous reef that hugs the shoreline at Dahab, the underwater terrain quickly drops away into the fathomless depths of the Gulf of Aqaba. Within easy reach of the town are an abundance of coral gardens that are home to a kaleidoscopic bounty of reef fish. For experienced divers, the world-famous Bells and the Canyon offer great opportunities, while Ricks Reef, South Oasis and the Moray Garden all have a wealth of black corals and sea fans. The Lighthouse is another classic, with sprawling coral gardens and a fantastic variety of marine life.

The various dive destinations are reached by road and each site has its own distinctive character and charm. Your program includes five full days of diving and a typical day will begin after breakfast with a morning dive. After lunch, you may shift to another site for a second dive before returning to your hotel later in the day. In the evenings there are numerous cheap restaurants to choose from and you can enjoy a fabulous seafood banquet for just a few dollars.
